Siobhan Tedder must compensate officer she attacked while 'highly intoxicated'

A former bunny girl who bit a police officer outside her flat in Charleville Road in West Kensington while 'foaming at the mouth and highly intoxicated' has escaped a jail sentence.

Instead, 26 year-old Siobhan Tedder was ordered to pay £150 compensation to Special Constable James Murphy, for the injury, which caused him to scream out in pain and left teeth marks on his left hand.

Julie Baldwin, Magistrates' chairman at Westminster Magistrates Court also gave her a 12 month community order with 20 days of rehabilitation and put her on a four week curfew from 9pm to 7am. She must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a victim surcharge £85.

Tedder, who has been sacked by the Playboy Club in Mayfair over the incident and is now unemployed, pleaded guilty earlier this month to assaulting Special Constable Murphy and kicking a second officer, PC Tom Burch.

As she stood in the dock, Tedder became tearful and repeatedly apologised for the incident, saying: " "I just feel so ashamed. I'm saying sorry.

"It's just stupid, I'm just so sad. I'm sorry for wasting your time for being here today."

Police were called to Tedder's flat, close to The Queen’s Club, on the night of 2 March after the alleged she had been assaulted. One of the officers described her as foaming at the mouth and they believed her to be heavily intoxicated.

They found her locked out of her flat and one of her windows was smashed at 5.45am. She then accused the officers of sexually assaulting her and bit and kicked the officers when she was arrested for being drunk and disorderly. She then kicked PC Burch and bit Special Constable Murphy.

She had a previous conviction for drink driving in 2016 and a caution for battery in 2012.

Ade Mayungbe, in mitigation, said: "It's just a case of drinking too much.

"She had been out for for the night, and you hear of what happens when people don't get food and the next thing you know, there's too much alcohol, and the next thing you know Ms Tedder finds herself in a police cell.

"She has shown genuine remorse and that's very clear today. All she keeps saying is she would like to apologise to the officers.

"She is in a position she is no longer employed because of this. She is essentially unemployed."
