32 year-old man arrested by police at property off Shepherd's Bush Road
A man has been stabbed to death this Thursday (1 March) in a property in Melrose Gardens off Shepherd's Bush Road in Hammersmith.
Police arriving at the scene arrested a 32-year-old man inside the property and took him into custody at a west London police station.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said, "At this early stage, nobody else is sought in connection with this investigation."
The victim, who is believed to be aged in his forties, was found suffering from stab wounds at around 5.40pm and pronounced dead at the scene.
Local people posted pictures and videos of the scene at around 6pm this evening, with the street cordoned off and the property surrounded by cars.
One neighbour said there appeared to be 12 police cars and four ambulances in the street.

Although the victim has not been formally identified police believe they know who he is and his next of kin have been informed.
The Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) are investigating, and detectives are not seeking anyone else in connection with this murder.
