Gang attack with broken bottles in Furnivall Gardens
Hammersmith police are investigating an incident in which a man was attacked with a broken bottle. A twenty one year old man was left with two puncture wounds, one to the left arm and one to the back. The incident took place on 11th May at 1.45am.
He was sitting on a bench in Furnivall Gardens with two friends when they were approached by a group of males, described as 9 white males and 1 black male.
The males group tried to go through the belongings of him and his friends but they chased them away. Later the group return this time armed with broken bottles and the man was stabbed.
The group of males then ran off from Furnivall Gardens along the river towards Hammersmith Bridge.
The injured man was treated by paramedics but his wounds were only superficial and he did not need to go to hospital.
Three males aged 17, 21 and 23 were arrested and are now helping police with their enquiries.
