Man arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing death by careless driving

A 17-year-old boy has died in hospital after being involved in a collision on Hofland Road in West Kensington.
He is believed to have been hit by the junction with Sinclair Road, W14 shortly before 6.29am on Sunday, 8 December.
An air ambulance was called to the scene and the victim was taken to a central London hospital by a London Air Ambulance helicopter but he later died of his injuries. His next of kin have been informed.
The 31-year-old driver of another vehicle, thought to have been involved, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug driving and causing death by careless driving.
He has been interviewed and bailed to return to a south London police station in early January 2020.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision, or the moments leading up to it, or who captured it on dash cam.
