A4 Accident Leads to Hammersmith Traffic Chaos

Jams and long delays across West London on Sunday evening

West London was brought to a standstill this evening (Sunday 12th May) following a serious accident on the A4 near Talgarth Road, Hammersmith.

The incident which is reported to involve a moped in collision with another vehicle resulted in the closure of the A4 in both directions at around 5pm.

Traffic remains heavy in the area. Among the thousands of people stuck in the jams was filmstar Joan Collins who tweeted, “Terrible accident on A4/Hammersmith roundabout - avoid at all costs! I'm still stuck in the middle of it. Heart goes out to those involved.” Miss Collins was not involved in the accident.
