With brand new lights, seasonal events and music and a 25 foot high tree
Hammersmith is set to shine this Christmas as plans for brand new lights, a host of seasonal events and activities and of course the return of the 25 foot high Lyric Square tree have been announced.
Christmas choirs and a steel band will be providing festive music both at lunchtimes and after work and a traditional Christmas market will be in Lyric Square from Monday, December 9, offering mulled wine, mince pies and a fantastic range of gifts.
New seasonal lights are being installed along King Street, Hammersmith Road, Beadon Road and around Hammersmith Broadway, and the popular annual tree will take its rightful place in Lyric Square.
Organisers HammersmithLondon add that the new lights, brought in specifically for 2013, might even contain a twinkly surprise, but local people will just have to wait and see!
Already in 2013, Hammersmith has welcomed Europe’s biggest H&M, a newly refurbished Primark and a bolstered TK Maxx, and HammersmithLondon is also organising a series of VIP shopping events for people who have free Privilege Cards.
There will also be a free present wrapping service based in Lyric Square's festive cabin. All you have to do to take advantage of it is produce a receipt as proof that the items were bought in Hammersmith.
HammersmithLondon will also be offering updates and advice through our free I Love Hammersmith App. Use the brand new free Wi-Fi in Lyric Square to download the App and take advantage of special seasonal offers as well as online prizes and giveaways.
