Beware of bogus police

Two recently reported incidents of suspects posing as plain clothes police officers approaching victims on the streets in Hammersmith claiming to be searching for drugs, searching the victim, taking mobile phones and running off.

Single black male suspect about 20 years old in one offence.

Two male suspects between 25 - 30 years old in other the offence. One white and the other black.

Police Officers in plain clothes will produce identification (warrant
cards) and introduce themselves when they wish to search someone. The warrant card will bear a photograph of the officer and their details.
