RNID study to help improve support services in the borough
The Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) is appealing for people with a hearing loss in Hammersmith to take part in a vital piece of research that could help improve the support and services for people who have a hearing loss in work, in the future.
The charity working with hearing loss and hearing health is looking for people who have experienced losing their hearing whilst in work and are either still in work, or have retired to take part in the study and share their experiences. If you have lost your hearing in the last 10 years, please get in touch to share your experiences, positive or negative, in a short one-to-one interview.
Roger Wicks, RNID’s Director of Research, Policy and Government Relations, says: “We’re looking forward to speaking with people in Hammersmith to gain insight into the impact of losing ones hearing whilst in work for this vital study. We want to hear from individuals from all age groups and careers to help us raise awareness of the needs of hard of hearing people in the workplace
“The interviews will be a great opportunity to highlight issues which can inform us about the ways people react to and deal with hearing loss and how best to support hard of hearing people in work in the future.
