Witness Appeal

Kitson's Insulations Ltd – Fulham, London

"I am acting on behalf of the estate of Mr George Arscott who died from asbestos related cancer. He worked for Kitson's Insulations Ltd in Fulham in 1954-56. Their factory was situated on the corner of Lillie Road, Dawes Road and North End Road in Fulham.

"Kitson's insurers have stated that they have no records to confirm that he was employed by them. As the period of employment was before 1961 this period of employment does not feature on Mr Arscott's schedule of employment provided by Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs which is based on his national insurance contributions.

"Without witnesses we are unable to prove that he worked for Kitson's therefore. Did you work for Kitson's at around the same time at their Fulham factory? Mr Arscott was employed as a trainee lagger and was exposed to a large quantity of asbestos with Kitson's – he worked at various locations removing old lagging and mixing and applying fresh asbestos lagging on behalf of Kitson's, including buildings at Cambridge University, the Ministry of Defence site at Whitehall and at Feltham Borstal.

"If you worked for Kitson's at the same site we would very much like to hear from you.
