FulhamSW6.com is a digital local newspaper that was launched in 2009. It is part of the Neighbour Net network of sites - the largest group of its kind in Europe.
It is edited by Sheila Prophet who lives in the Fulham area. Sheila has worked in the media for over two decades and has been a section editor for national newspapers including the News of the World and the Sunday Mirror.
She is helped by a team of regular contributors and other editors in the Neighbour Net group.
We are an independent company, funded by advertising and not the tax-payer. Most of the site's sponsors are small and medium sized local businesses.
If you sign up for the site (it's free) you'll be kept in touch with what's going on in the Fulham area of West London.
There are currently (May 2020) over 2,000 people registered on the site most of whom receive our fortnightly newsletter.
The more members the site has the more resources we can devote to it. We would like to make it the largest independent media for the area. To help us grow encourage people you know to register on the site and participate.
We aim to adhere to the Editors’ Code of Practice and if we have demonstrably failed to do so in anything that we publish we undertake to resolve the situation promptly. Any significant inaccuracy, misleading statement or distortion will be corrected quickly and with due prominence. If appropriate an apology will be published. We use the Editors’ Code of Practice but we are not members of the Independent Press Standards Organisation.
If you are unhappy about an article that has been published on the site in the first instance contact the editor with your concerns. Include your full name, address and phone number in any correspondence.
Our target is that all editors should respond to a complaint within a week of it being sent. If no reply has been received or you are not satisfied with the response then your complaint will be considered by the directors of Neighbour Net Ltd. Forward details to info@neighbournet.com. We aim to respond to all complaints at this stage within ten days although this may take longer if it is necessary to obtain legal advice.
If you remain unsatisfied at this stage we will endeavour to arrange low-cost, mutually agreeable and binding arbitration though an independent third party. The initial cost of this would be payable by the complainant but this would be refundable in whole or part if the arbitrator finds that Neighbour Net have not responded to the complaint adequately.
Note: this procedure does not cover complaints about feedback on the directory or posts made on the forum. They should be addressed directly to info@neighbournet.com.
