Over a quarter of sales in SW6 at over one million
92 Fulham properties in all were sold in April, with 24 sales surpassing the one million pound mark. The average price for transactions during the period was £881,961, with the most valuable sale, of 47 Bradbourne Street, touching £3,650,000.
The April data from Land Registry's House Price Index shows that property in London was up by 6.2% to £375,795 over the year. Nationally there was an annual price increase of 0.7%which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £161,458. The monthly change from March to April shows an increase of 0.4%. Repossession volumes decreased by 28% in February 2013 to 1,293 compared with 1,788 in the same month of last year.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during February 2013, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales decreased by 3% to 43,573 compared with 44,829 in February 2012. Over the same time period, the number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million increased by 3% to 488 from 475. All regions saw repossessions decrease between February of this year and February last year.
