Mexican fast food chain takes over site formerly home to Chop Chop
The restaurant is among a number of new openings planned for London by the Mexican fast food chain, following the first launch in November in Hammersmith's King Street.
Taco Bell, which is owned by New York based company Yum!, says they will be the first of 'many' new openings.
Taco Bell pulled out of the country two decades ago but has gradually returned to Britain, with 27 branches already open outside London.
Liz Williams, president of Taco Bell International said: "At the time, there wasn't as much consumer demand for Mexican food. Today there is a huge appetite for this cuisine and the Taco Bell brand."
As well as Tacos, other favourites served up to eager customers who have crammed into the newly opened restaurant include Burritos, Quesadillas, Fajitas, Nachos and Guacamole.
