Fulham's Malthouse is Winner at Casual Dining Awards

Vanston Place local named Best Independent Pub of the Year

These annual awards celebrate "all that's good in Britain's fastest growing food sector" and The Malthouse was the only London pub included in a shortlist of five in its category.

After the awards ceremony at the Marriott London Grosvenor Square, the gastropub tweeted @MalthouseLondon: " We have only gone and won the @casdiningawards independent pub of the year uk. Time for a party."

The Malthouse, which is part of the Jolly Fine pub group is run by directors Greg Bellamy and chef Paul Merrett, who has created menus bringing together the best of modern British, Mediterranean and spice.

The pub, which has a bar, dining room and garden plus six bedrooms above, is open all day, from breakfast, and brunch at weekends, through lunch and bar snacks, and on to full à la carte dinner.

The Malt House has also been featured in three episodes of Made in Chelsea.
