Cafe on Common to Reopen as Eelbrook Restaurant

Promising "destination casual fine dining experience"

The cafe in the south east corner of Eel Brook Common is being refurbished and aims to reopen later this month as an upmarket restaurant simply called Eelbrook.

The Eelbrook menu promises an eclectic mix of dishes made from the best of British ingredients with influences from throughout the Mediterranean - with flavours from Spain, Italy, Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean (Turkey, Lebanon etc) and North Africa.

The restaurant, which aims to offer " the local destination casual fine dining experience in Fulham", has been redesigned using natural blonde wood finishes to link the interior with the trees outside.

Set in the common's original groundsman building, Eelbrook will open up to the common through its full width doors with seating for up to 22 people on a covered and heated terrace outside, with seating inside for up to 50 people.

The name of the new restaurant however could result in confusion for diners, as the pub directly across New Kings Road, previously the Southern Cross, has also had a recent facelift and is now named The Eel Brook.
