The new store, which is on the ground floor of London Square's development at the junction of New Kings and Munster Roads, will have an in-store bakery alongside its focus on fresh, healthy foods, meal ideas, award winning wines, food to go and essentials.

There will be special offers and promotions in and around the store to mark its launch, and it
will also offer a boost to local good causes through the Co-op’s Membership scheme.

Members receive a 5% reward buying own-branded products when they swipe their card, and the Co-op donates a further 1% to good causes. Those initially set to benefit include: iDebate; Woman’s Trust and, the St Cuthbert’s Centre, which is raising funds for its elderly care centre.

The community retailer says it also offers a 10% discount to students in the area holding the NUS extra card to support them during their studies.

Muhammad Rahman, Area Manager, says: "We are delighted to have undertaken such a significant investment in Fulham, and excited to have the opportunity to serve the community.

" Our ambition is to ensure the store is a local hub, a real asset for the community. We also want shoppers to know that they can become a co-owner and member of their Co-op.

" Our members make a difference locally, simply by swiping their membership card when they shop with us they are raising much needed funding for organisations in their area who contribute to improving local life."
