Chain devised by chef Raymond Blanc launches riverfront restaurant
The new restaurant is scheduled to open in May in a riverfront site in the development's Goldhurst House.
It joins Fulham Reach's coffee shop Harris+Hoole and Blue Boat Bar & Restaurant and is set to rival Hammersmith's best known restaurant, the River Cafe, a short distance away along the riverfront.
Raymond Blanc
The Brasserie Blanc chain, which has been operation for 20 years is run in partnershop with Raymond Blanc, and he signs off all of the menus alongside running his own Michelin starred hotel and restaurant Le Manoir auc Quat' Saisons in Oxfordshire.
The chain says classic and contemporary space, designed by Jordan Littler, will seat 120 people with space for another 50 on the terrace.
Describing the interior it says a large central bar and open kitchen pass will be flanked by two raised areas, one offering a lounging and dining space, encompassing bespoke banquettes and a selection of tables for intimate and group dining and the other for private events of up to 30 people. A statement lighting feature will mirror the curved central banquette, highlighting the elliptical shape of the building.
In line with the group’s stripped-back and relaxed look, the space will see a muted colour palette of heritage tones with contemporary furnishings in a nod to the building’s former use.
The brasserie will offer a menu of classic and modern French dishes using seasonal ingredients designed by Brasserie Blanc’s Executive Chef Clive Fretwell.
CEO Mark Derry says: " It is exciting to be opening a new Brasserie Blanc in London. The Fulham Reach development is impressive and the site we are taking is set to be a show-stopper with a central bar surrounded by more than 100 dining covers. We are all looking forward to opening the doors of the new Brasserie Blanc in May."
You can see samples of Brasserie Blanc menus, including its popular £10.95 set menu on the chain's website along with recipes, cooking tips and videos.
