Series starts on Sunday with works celebrating inauguration of new organ
St John’s Fulham Music Society is celebrating the coming spring with a series of concerts
by talented young musicians.
The concerts begin this Saturday, 22 February at 6pm with the inauguration of the church's new Hauptwerk Organ.
Domenico Gioffré will play a selection of English, French, and German romantic organ works.
This is followed by a series of concerts on Wednesdays at 7.30pm:
Wednesday 4 March
Piano Recital. Danilo Mascetti returns to play modern French and Russian piano music
Wednesday 11 March
Violin and Piano Recital. Fiona Robertson (Violin) and Philip Sharp (Piano) will play Ravel, Franck, Andriessen, and other contemporary works
Wednesday 18 March
Piano, Organ and Songs. Jonathan Headley (Baritone) and Domenico Gioffré (Piano and Organ) perform English, German, and Russian songs
Wednesday 25 March
Poetry set to music. Andrew Mitchell and The Pixel Trio perform music improvisations and The Pixel Trio perform music improvisations and original English poetry
Wednesday 1 April
Lieder and Chanson. Emily Sierra (Mezzo) and Rustam Khanmurzin (Piano) perform French, Spanish, Polish, and Russian songs
All performances at St John’s Church, North End Road, Fulham, London SW6 1PB at 7.30pm, with doors open 7pm.
Entry is free, but donations for the benefit of the church are welcome. There will be a cash bar.
