North End Road's StagoLee's is Latest Fulham Retaurant to close

Eaterie serving American Deep South food shuts 'indefinitely'

North End Road restaurant Stagolee's has become the latest in a growing list of restaurants shutting their doors in 2018.

Stagolee's Hot Chicken and Liquor Bar in Fulham

Stagolee's Hot Chicken and Liquor Joint, at the southern end of North End Road opposite Waitrose, specialisted in authentic American Deep South flavours, with what it described as hearty, comfort food from Texas and Tennessee and a range of American beers, bourbon and Kentucky Moonshine.

Now however it has closed, with a message posted on the door saying: "Sincerest apologies but we have decided to close Stagolee's indefinitely.

"It's been quite a ride these last two years as we have brought to life our vision of showcasing Real Southern US food to the UK and we want to thank you for all your support on making that vision a reality."

Restaurants on this southern section of North End Road have often struggled and The Hanger Steak, a foot doors away was another recently casualty. However, while while other premises remain empty, this spot was very quickly taken over by Ardiciocca where owner Roberto Costa and chef Simona Ranieri offer a celebration of Italian Mediterranean cuisine, with authentic gluten and sugar free ingredients.
