Help Fulham Photographer Robin Win a National Competition

Local people urged to vote for gravestone picture taken in Brompton Cemetery

Robin Bath has been shortlisted for first prize in the annual Dead Art? Then and Now Photography Competition run by the Memorial Awareness Board.

It offers the prize to the entrant who best captures the beauty of stone memorials, and Robin's photos are amongst the top ten who made the shortlist.

His touching images include the one shown on the right, which was taken in Brompton Cemetery. He says: "‘I particularly liked the angel beckoning the child up the stairway to heaven, and the soft blanket of snow helped isolate the headstone nicely."

The Memorial Awareness Board, or MAB, is now calling all Robin's neighbours and fellow Fulham residents to show their support by voting for his photos in the public vote that will decide the overall winner.

Voting is simple and all information can be found in the photo competition section of the board's website. If you do add your vote for Robin, you should do it before the deadline of midnight next Friday, September 28.

This year MAB says it received almost 200 entries to the competition - a number that it hopes will increase each year. Annette Etchells, Head of StoneGuard Memorial Stone Insurance says: " We are delighted to sponsor this unique photographic competition."
