TfL Proposes Redeveloping Former Parsons Green Depot

And asks Fulham residents for feedback on its proposals

Transport for London is planning to redevelop its former depot at Parsons Green - and is asking Fulham residents for feedback.

It says the site, which is approximately 1.26 hectares and follows the District Line from Parsons Green Lane to Barclay Road could provide new homes, open spaces, workspaces, studios and start-up office spaces, offering 300 jobs on site.

TfL says following a London-wide review of its property estate, it has identified sites appropriate for development and the former Parsons Green Depot is one of the sites.

TfL believes it offers an opportunity to provide a high quality
mixed-use development alongside new public open space and pedestrian links.

The existing commercial premises on the site are leased to various businesses by TfL and are in need of regeneration and have a poor relationship with the surrounding area, lacking architectural merit.

Between 1991 and 2011, the site was safeguarded from development in order to allow for the proposed Chelsea to Hackney line and later the Crossrail 2 routes to be constructed. This year however, a new route for Crossrail 2 without a link to Fulham was supported by respondents, which meant the former Parsons Green Depot was no longer required for Crossrail 2.

A public meeting will be held later this autumn to update the community and in the meantime you can give your feedback to TfL by completing the online questionnaire.
