Fulham cattery among winners in national competition

Fulham's Pawchester is among the the winners of the Punniest Business competition run by listings organisation Yelp.

The luxury cattery in Dawes Road, which offers exclusive hotel rooms for its feline guests, came joint third in the national contest, along with Clapham-based smoothie and milkshake shop Milk Init and Edinburgh hairdresser Lunatic Fringe.

London wine seller Planet of the Grapes won second place, while the winner, somewhat inexplicably, was the Big Baps cafe in Paignton in Devon.

The Pawchester, run by next door vets Pawes in Dawes is not the only wittily named business in Fulham. Others include fruit and vegetable store Dolce and Banana in Munster Road and Bishops Bark pet shop close to Bishops Park.
