Come and Dig at Fulham Palace!

Community archaeology project continues in August

This community archaeology dig, which ran throughout July, continues from August 6 -10, from 9am till 4.30pm each day.

The palace says volunteers will take on tasks including archaeological investigation, sieving, finds processing and recording using drawing and photography.

Fulham Palace has had a very long history.  Previous archaeological digs have uncovered Neolithic, Roman, medieval and Tudor finds!  The findings from the summer 2012 dig will help the Palace to refine plans for planting in the Walled Garden, which will be a longer term project.

Fulham Palace walled garden has been reopened this spring after a year and a half of being closed for restoration and building works.
