Paggs Cafe to Stay Open in South Park Till End of November

Owner Teo puts up giant thank you note to council bosses for help extending lease

The very popular Paggs Cafe, in South Park's Pavilion is set to stay open until the end of November.

And fans of the cafe will be glad to hear owner Teo Catino, who also runs the restaurant Il Pagliaccio on Wandsworth Bridge Road, says he will be formally bidding to run the cafe in the Sands End Arts and Community Centre when it opens in the park in 2020.

The Paggs Cafe, set at the northern end of the Parsons Green park, was to be shut down at the end of August when its lease ran out.

However, following the intervention of H&F Council Leader, Cllr Stephen Cowan and Deputy Leader, Cllr Sue Fennimore, the lease was extended till the end of next month.

The owner was so grateful he placed this eye-catching giant thank you note on railings outside Parsons Green Tube Station.

Sands End Arts and Community Centre is now under construction and you can find out more about what's in store at a drop-in event next Thursday. Find out more about this here.
