Could You Run a Pitch at North End Road Market?

Young entrenpreneurs offered chance to test business skills

Fulham's budding entrepreneurs are being offered the chance to test their business skills at North End Road Market next month.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council is offering unemployed young people, aged from 17 to 25, the chance to run their own pitches at the popular market which has been part of life in Fulham since the 1880s.

The youngsters will be able to take home any profits that they make.

The scheme is part of the national Love Your Local Market campaign which aims to attract new market traders and highlight the importance that markets play in the community.

The scheme will take place from May 15-29. If you would like to take part, contact Lorraine Le-Fondre on 020 8753 3916 or email  Lorraine.lefondre@lbhf.gov.uk or streettrading@lbhf.gov.

Cllr Greg Smith, H&F Council, deputy leader says: "This is a great opportunity to give young people in need of some support the chance to make the most of their lives by giving them the experience of running their own businesses."
