Community picnic on Sunday
Enjoy at picnic in the park in Normand Park on Lillie Road on Sunday July 18 from noon till 4pm.
This community picnic is part of The Big Lunch, a annual day out dreamed up by The Eden Project in Cornwall, aimed at getting the people of Britain out of their houses and talking to neighbours over some good food.
Local people attending the picnic are invited to bring a picnic, sample food made with ingredients grown in Normand Park's community garden, join in the fun and games or just relax and chat with others in the sun.
For active types, there will be free family games at 2pm and water fun at 3pm.
