Fuham Market Hall Expands to Add New First Floor

Broadway venue creates space for fitness, kids and events plus roof terrace

Fulham Broadway's Market Hall, which has become one of our most popular local venues since opening in May, is expanding.

The Market Hall, created within the former ticket office of Fulham Broadway Station is soon to open a whole new floor above the ground floor hall, offering a fitness studio, kids' club, event space and roof terrace.

There is also a new choice of traders operating kitchens within the hall, with pizza specialist Made of Dough and Mexican concept Supertacos joining the line-up

You can see a full line-up of current traders here.

The conversion of the glass-roofed Grade II listed ticket hall, which dates back to 1880 and which had stood empty for six years, to create six kitchens, a coffee shop, a bar and 250 communal dining seats, has also gained a prestigious accolade for architects Faulker Browns.

The Market Hall has been shortlisted in  the Revo Gold Awards a celebration of the very best examples of development in the retail property and placemaking sector.

The project is one of three schemes in the running for the Re:lax award, described as an accolade which showcases 'exemplars of how the hospitality and leisure industries are reshaping the overall customer experience'.

Launching the Market Hall in May co-founder Simon Anderson said: " We're very excited to bring the Fulham Broadway ticket hall back to life and think we've created something new and unique for Fulham and London.

"We've studied the local area and pulled together a varied roster of traders, from local favourites to street food stars, that we hope will please everyone. All of this under one roof alongside a bar selling the best British craft beers and spirits, open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner."

Simon and his partner Andy Lewis-Pratt have plans to open six halls across London, with the second, in abandoned arcaded bays in Terminus Place in Victoria set to open next month.
