Holy Cross School Holds May Fair on Sunday

Event to be opened by Archbishop of Westminster at 1pm

Holy Cross School Roman Catholic Primary School is holding its May Fair on Sunday May 13.

The event, which is open to the public, will begin with mass at Holy Cross Church. The fair will then be officially opened at 1pm by the Archbishop of Westminster in the Holy Cross School playground in Basuto Road.

The fun and games will include a range of fun activities for the family with food stalls, live music, a bouncy castle and other games.

Local property agency, Haus Properties is sponsoring the fair and has donated £2,000 to the Holy Cross School Parents Association which will be used, along with the money raised at the fair, to purchase items such as computers, games, books and sports equipment to continue to broaden pupils’ educational horizons.

The agency has also run an art competition for children at the school, asking them to draw pictures of their dream hauses. The colourful results will be on display on Sunday and there will be prizes of art kits and summer games for the winners.

Caroline O'Dwyer, Secretary of the Parents Association at the school, adds: “We are thrilled to have Haus Properties involved with one of our most popular school calendar events. It’s fantastic to be supported by a local business which is so passionate about the local area.”
