Greg Hands share his busy schedule in latest newsletter

Chelsea and Fulham MP Greg Hands brings us up to date with his busy programme in his latest e-newsletter. Greg says he has recently:

  • Appeared on the BBC’s Sunday Politics Show, talking about the good news for London in the Chancellor’s announcements on the Spending Review.

  • Met local managers from Job Centre Plus, Hammersmith, to discuss progress in H&F meeting the Benefits Cap, when it goes live in August of this year.

  • Was with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon George Osborne, as he made his Commons statement on the Spending Review. Greg is the Government’s Treasury Whip.

  • Attended the summer meeting of the Chelsea Society, held at the Royal Hospital, home of the Chelsea Pensioners.

  • Attended the House of Lords reception of Conservative Way Forward.

  • Attended the summer fete of St John’s C.E. Primary School, Fulham.

  • Visited the Royal Court Theatre, Sloane Square, Chelsea, as a guest of the management, to see at first hand the important role that the theatre plays in the local community.

  • Attended a speech given by Simon Hart M.P. to the Fulham Broadway Conservatives on the future of the Hunting Act. Greg supports the repeal of the Hunting Act, and wants to see hunting once again legal.

  • Attended the summer garden party of Lady Margaret School, Fulham. For photo see below.

  • Attended the Commons reception of the British Chambers of Commerce.

  • Attended the summer party of the Royal Hospital Ward Conservatives, including a speech by new RBK&C Council leader, Nicholas Paget-Brown.

  • Attended the Chairman’s annual lunch and lawn tennis day of the Hurlingham Club, Fulham, as a guest of the Chairman.

  • Visited the offices of Inmarsat in central London to learn more about the important work of this leading British company.

  • Had a full schedule of activity as a Government Whip in and around the chamber of the House of Commons, including ministerial meetings and organising votes and standing committees, including the 2013 Finance Bill.
