All Change for Fulham's Busiest Streets

New names to appear on the Broadway

The normally quiet month of August has been anything but around Fulham Broadway, as some well known stores have vanished from the streets to be replaced by a batch of newcomers.

Already gone from North End Road are Hell Pizza and ladies' fashion store Bon Marche, with the next door Clarks Shoe outlet also set to close down in the near future.

Further west at 654 Fulham Road, East's sample store has been forced to close as the lease on the premises ended, but the company is keen to reopen soon in another spot on Fulham Road.

Newcomers who have already opened their doors include Fulham Bar and Grill on Fulham Broadway, which remains shrouded in scaffolding. Though only the ground floor bar is currently open, the owners aim to have the scaffolding removed the the first floor restaurant open within weeks.

Also now open is the Sweatshop specialist running store, on the site formerly used by Starbucks on the corner of North End Road and Dawes Road, and a Mr Waffle outlet in the kiosk two doors along.

Coming soon to the Broadway are shoe and fashion shop Bullfrogs, and on the north east corner of Fulham Island in Vanston Place, a new off licence called Vagabond Wines, which promises "Great wine without the snootiness"!

At Fulham Broadway shopping centre, the main event this autumn will be the launch of the customer friendly Metro Bank, which is on schedule for a three day gala opening in October. The second branch of the bank is also about to open on Friday, September 3 in Earls Court.
