Fulham Opera are Back with Götterdämmerung

Final instalment of Wagner's Ring at St John's Church

Fulham Opera, West London's premier independent opera company, will perform this exciting production on four days in November - Fridays and Sundays, November 8 and 10 and 15 and 17. All performances start at 5pm, and at 4.15pm before the final show, there will  also be a short talk:  A précis to Götterdämmerung by David Trippett, author of Wagner's Melodies, to finish at 4.45.  The talk will be free to anyone with a ticket for the performance on the 17th.

Fulham Opera staged the first part of the Fulham Ring, Das Rheingold, in summer 2011, and admit it was something of a leap in the dark.

Cast with some of the finest emerging Wagnerians around – the company boasts several current and former Bayreuth Bursary finalists and prizewinners – this innovative staging with piano accompaniment was a success with both audience and critics, and Fulham Opera then decided they had to do a complete Ring.

They followed it up with Walkure in May 2012, and now the fourth and final part, Gotterdammerung is here, with the intriguing sub-title: In Wagner, it is never a good idea to accept drinks from strangers.

The cast is as follows:
