Fulham Opera Return to St John's Church with Siegfried

Three performances of the third part of the complete Ring by Wagner

Siegfried

Fulham Opera, who are West London's premier independent opera company, will perform Sigfried on three nights - Tuesday February 12, Friday February 15 and Sunday February 17, at 6pm each night.

Fulham Opera staged the first part of the Fulham Ring, Das Rheingold, in summer 2011, and admit it was something of a leap in the dark.

Cast with some of the finest emerging Wagnerians around – the company boasts several current and former Bayreuth Bursary finalists and prizewinners – this innovative staging with piano accompaniment was a success with both audience and critics, and Fulham Opera then decided they had to do a complete Ring.

They followed it up with Walkure in May 2012, and the fourth and final part, Gotterdammerung will follow in November 2013.  Then, says Fulham Opera, they are even planning two full cycles for the early part of 2014.

Led by director Max Pappenheim and musical director Ben Woodward, the cast of Siegfriend consists of Philip Modino in the title role, Peter Kent as Mime, Ian Wilson-Pope as Wanderer, Robert Presley as Alberich, Antoine Salmon at Fafner, Zoe South as Brunnhilde, Rhonda Browne as Erda and Emma Peaurt as Woodbird.

Tickets for Siegfriend cost £20, or £15 concessions are available through Paypal online or on the door.
