London Theatre Workshop Presents New Musical Apartment 40C

Examining decades of love, happiness, regret and loss

Fulham's own theatre, London Theatre Workshop in New King's Road is presenting Apartment 40C, its first a new musical to be conceived, written, workshopped and now mounted as a full production.

Written by Artistic Directors of London Theatre Workshop, Ray Rackham (book and lyrics) and Tom Lees (music), the musical explores how relationships are affected by the endless possibility of choice.

Told over the course of one evening, the musical examines decades of love, happiness, regret and loss; chances taken and options missed; and how it is sometimes impossible to make any kind of distinction between the past and the present.

Rackham and Lees were also the team behind London Theatre Workshop’s inaugural production of Adam Gwon’s Ordinary Days. This led to them being nominees for Best Director of a New Production of a Play or Musical (Rackham) and Best Musical Director of a Fringe Musical (Lees) at this year’s Broadwayworld Awards for Ordinary Days, which itself has been nominated in the Best Musical category at both the Broadwayworld and Off West End Theatre Awards.

The cast of Apartment 40C includes Alex Crossley, Alex James Ellison, Peter Gerald, Nova Skipp, Drew Weston and Lizzie Wofford.
