London Theatre Workshop Presents Romeo and Juliet

Shakespeare's classic opens in New King's Road on November 4

William Shakespeare’s immortal classic Romeo & Juliet will play at The London Theatre Workshop, Fulham’s own boutique theatre, from November 4.

London Theatre Workshop, based in a theatre above the Eel Brook Pub on New Kings Road, says it will use Shakespeare’s original First Folio text, breathing life into the play in new and relevant ways.

The eight players will portray all 20 roles, including travesti performances with Joseph Law as the Nurse, and Ella Cook as Benvolio.

Eternal sweethearts Romeo and Juliet will be played be Hal Geller and Daisy Ward.

Hal is currently being mentored by BAFTA award winning Andrew Scott, best known as Moriarty in TV's Sherlock. Hal was hand-selected  by Andrew to be one of the lucky ten individuals to receive coaching and career advice as part of an IdeasTap scheme.

Daisy joins London Theatre Workshop after a long line of credits as Shakespeare’s leading ladies: Cordelia in King Lear (Union Theatre), Isabella in Measure for  Measure (Union Theatre), Miranda in The Tempest (Grassroots Shakespeare), Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Grassroots Shakespeare) and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing (Grassroots Shakespeare).

Dates: Tuesday November 4 - Saturday November 22. Tuesday- Saturday 7.30pm, Saturdays 2.30pm.
