Join the Apple Day Celebration at Fulham Palace


Family fun on Sunday including the annual apple cake baking competition

This Sunday, 7 October, Fulham Palace is hosting an Apple Day Celebration in its Walled Garden from 11am till 3pm.

This popular free annual festival celebrates Fulham Palace's Walled Garden apple orchard in all of its glory.

There’s fun for everyone with displays and tastings, live music, bee keeping and wood turning demonstrations, children’s activities, storytelling, refreshments and more!

There is also the hotly contested Annual Cake Baking Competition, which is open to all local would-be Mary Berrys. There are two classes, Senior and Junior for under 16s.

This year's final batch of Fulham Palace honey will also be on sale, as well as chutneys made from Walled Garden produce.

3:00pm ‘Guest the weight of the pumpkin’ competition winner announced

Activities, a range of market stalls and games are also on offer throughout the day.

Register your entry for the Apple Cake Baking Competition by downloading the form on Fulham Palace's website

and returning it to mail@fulhampalace.org, or the reception team. Alternatively, complete it at home and bring it along on the day.

Prizes will be awarded to the winner and runner-up in both the senior and junior categories. In addition, the two winners will have their cakes made and served in the Drawing Room Cafe.

Also on Sunday at 2pm, you can learn the secrets of Fulham Palace on this Historical Tour through the garden and public rooms of the Palace. £6 per person, accompanied children free, no booking necessary, meet in the Museum. Click here for more information on tours.
