Bishop's Park has a fascinating history.  Formed from meadows once belonging to the Bishop of London’s estate, discover the Park’s fascinating history on this guided walk.

Sunday 13 and Tuesday 15 August, 2pm - Historical Tour

Learn the secrets of Fulham Palace on this Historical Tour through the garden and public rooms of the Palace. £6 per person, accompanied children free, no booking necessary, meet in

Palace Explorers at Fulham Palace

Join the Palace Explorers, weekly parent/carer and toddler sessions for children aged 2-4.

£4 per child, which includes a drink and healthy snack, booking essential.Booking essential, tickets are available for individual sessions on a first come, first serve basis. For a ticket, please email education@fulhampalace.org up to one week before the session you would like to attend. 

Wednesday 16 August, 1pm-4pm - Art Marquee – Concertina Bookbinding

Join the outdoor Art Marquee on the Main Lawn over three Wednesdays in August and get stuck into an activity themed around our beautiful Palace. Learn an exciting new technique - from paper marbling and working with clay, to puppetry and pop-ups.

Inspired by the atmospheric book-lined shelves of our historic Bishop Porteus Library, this week’s hands on workshop explores the well-loved craft of book binding. Create your very own bound Fulham Palace activity book; use it to explore the Palace, take notes, create Palace inspired stories and draw your favourite parts.

Wednesday 23 August, 1pm-4pm - Art Marquee – Tudor Portrait with a Pop-Up Ruff Collar

This week, the theme is Tudor Pop-up Portraits. Learn the art of making a pop-up and use your imagination to create a portrait of a famous Tudor. Fill your design with jewellery and decorations fit for a King, Queen (or Bishop).

Wednesday 30 August, 1pm-4pm - Art Marquee – Paper-crafted Flowers

The final week of summer crafting provides the opportunity to create a special Bishop Dahlia, just like the ones flowering in the historic walled garden. Learn the art of paper crafting, designing your own beautiful flower to take home with you.

Each of these events costs £3 per child, no booking necessary. Activities are suitable for children of all ages 2+, with extended skill options available for older children and young adults. Please don your older clothes or bring a shirt to cover up with, as many of the activities involve getting messy.

Art Marquees take place on the Main Lawn, but if the rain decides to pour, it will be located inside the Palace in the Bishop Terrick Drawing Room (between visitor reception and the café).

Sunday 20 August, 2pm - Garden Walk

Join us for this tour of the Fulham Palace garden and discover more about its history and the rare plants grown at the Palace today. £6 per person, accompanied children free, no booking necessary, meet in the Museum. Click here for more information on tours.

Thursday 24 August, 7pm - Outdoor Theatre – Pride and Prejudice

The ultimate romantic comedy performed under the stars in our beautiful Walled Garden.   In this nationally acclaimed production, award-winning outdoor theatre company Illyria sharpen their claws to bring you Jane Austen at her vibrant, pacy, feisty best!
