Join a unique service on Sunday celebrating 150 years since the chapel was first consecrated

Sunday 7 May, 3pm-5pm - Fulham Palace Chapel: 150 Year Commemoration Service

A rare opportunity to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Palace's Victorian Chapel as Reverend Canon Joe Hawes, Vicar of All Saints Fulham, leads this service of commemoration for William Butterfield's architectural gem.

Travel back in time for this truly unique service, which combines historical elements from the original consecration service by Bishop Tait 150 years ago with hymns from the period and traditional refreshments.

English tea, fresh lemonade and homemade cakes will be served in the Chaplain’s Garden following the service.

Sunday 7 May, 2pm - Historical Tour

Learn the secrets of Fulham Palace on this Historical Tour through the garden and public rooms of the Palace. £6 per person, accompanied children free, no booking necessary, meet in the Museum. Click here for more information on tours.

Monday 8 May, 7.30pm - The Ruisi Quartet Plus One

Travel through 125 years of musical history with the Friends of Fulham Palace during this special recital by the award winning Ruisi Quartet, who will be joined on the night by violist Jenny Lewisohn.

The recital will provide an evening of inspiring musical pleasure featuring:

  • Haydn – String Quartet Op.9 No.4 in D minor
  • Mozart – String Quintet No.3 in C major K.515
  • Dvorák – String Quintet Op.97 in E flat major

Travelling through 125 years of musical history, you will hear the first quartet written by Haydn in a minor key, his friend Mozart’s gorgeously inventive string quintet, followed by Dvorák’s love-song to his Bohemian homeland, joyfully inspired by his new American surroundings.

This hands-on session provides a unique opportunity to handle historical items from our collection, including archaeology, engravings and letters, and gain a real insight into the past. Free; booking recommended, click here to book.

Join the Palace Explorers, weekly parent/carer and toddler sessions for children aged 2-4.
