Learn about living medicine or take the kids to a little green fingers gardening session
Here's what's happening this week at Fulham Palace:
Thursday 8 September, 2pm - Garden Walk
Join this tour of the Fulham Palace garden and discover more about its history and the rare plants grown at the Palace today.
The garden has a long and fascinating history dating back to the Tudor period when Bishop Grindal introduced the tamarisk to England through to Bishop Compton’s famous collection of plants in the early 1700s.
The tradition of growing rare plants and trees was continued by later Bishops of London alongside the development of the Walled Garden to provide food for the busy household.
The tour covers the history of the garden and highlights the important and unusual trees growing here today.
