National Tree Dressing Day and Carols by Candlelight on Sunday

Fulham Palace is celebrating Christmas with a month long series of festive events - some of which, including visits by Father Christmas, have already sold out.

Here's what's still on offer during December:

National Tree Dressing Day at Fulham Palace

Sunday December 6, 10am-2pm - National Tree Dressing Day

Come along to this family drop-in and create beautiful decorations from natural materials to hang on the branches of the trees in the Fulham Palace grounds. Free, no booking necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday December 6, 3.30pm-5pm - Friends of Fulham Palace Carols by Candlelight

Join the Friends of Fulham Palace and the Addison Singers for an afternoon of Christmas carols in our Tudor Courtyard. Seasonal refreshments of mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies will be served.

Free, no booking necessary but you can find more details and express your interest here. Small donation for seasonal refreshments.

Young Archaeologists Club at Fulham Palace

Saturday December 12, 10.30am-12.15pm -Young Archaeologists’ Club, Ancient Celebrations

Christmas is coming! But what did Ancient cultures do before there was Christmas? Did they celebrate in the winter like we do? If so what did they do and what did they eat? Find out during the last YAC session for this term.

£15 per child. Booking essential, click here to book. Bursary places are available, contact education@fulhampalace.org to learn more. Suitable for eight to 16 year olds, children attend independently.

Saturday December 12, 2pm-4pm -Fulham Palace Youth Panel

Fulham Palace are starting a Youth Panel! This is a chance to get involved in what happens at the Palace from exhibitions to archaeology digs, family events to conservation work.

Booking essential, click here to book. Suitable for 11 to 16 year olds, children attend independently.

Dick Whittington at Fulham Palace

Sunday December 13, 12pm and 2pm - Christmas Pantomime, Dick Whittington

Find out if the streets of London really are paved with gold in this classic tale adapted for a young audience. This is a family pantomime with colourful sets and lots of audience participation. The setting and relaxed atmosphere is ideal for smaller children.

£10 per person/ £38 for four family members. Booking essential. 2pm performance sold out, click here to book for the 12pm performance. Children must be accompanied by an adult.


Monday December 7 and 14 10.30am-11.30am, Tuesday December 1, 8 and 15, 10.30am-11.30am - The Palace Explorers

Join the Palace Explorers, weekly parent/carer and toddler sessions for children aged 2-4.  £3 per child, which includes a drink and healthy snack, booking essential.  Click here for more information and to book.

Wednesday December 2, Sunday 13 and Tuesday 15, 15 Dec, 2pm - Monthly Historical Tours

Learn the secrets of Fulham Palace on this Historical Tour through the grounds and public rooms of the Palace. £6 per person, accompanied children free, no booking necessary, meet in the Museum. Click here for more information on tours.
