Victorian themed family drop-in on Sunday

Sunday 8 November, 2pm - 3.30pm - Museum Drop-in



During this Victorian themed family drop-in, try on period costume, handle artefacts and learn about the history of Fulham Palace.

Free, no booking necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Young Archaeologists’ Club – Investigating Historic Buildings

Did you know Fulham Palace has been the home of the Bishop of London since 700AD? During this YAC session, learn about how archaeologists investigate historic buildings and what they tell us about how people lived in the past.

Want to learn about Archaeology but don’t know where to start? Then the Fulham Palace Young Archaeologists’ Club is the place for you. Meeting monthly on Saturday mornings the club will explore the fascinating world of archaeology through practical hands on sessions with real archaeologists.

Young Archaeologists Cub at Fulham Palace

You’ll dig, sieve, measure and record your finds learning about ancient civilisations such as the Roman, Viking and Stone Age eras. There will be a huge range of sessions on offer, everything from dendrochronology to investigating historic buildings, making traditional crafts to exploring the local Thames foreshore.

Saturday 21 November, 2pm-4pm - Fulham Palace Youth Panel

Fulham Palace are starting a Youth Panel! This is a chance to get involved in what happens at the Palace from exhibitions to archaeology digs, family events to conservation work.

Monday 23 November, 11am - 2pm - Kids in Museums Takeover Day

For one day only local children and young people will take over the running of Fulham Palace. They will be responsible for everything from room stewarding and manning our Twitter feed to welcoming visitors and dealing with enquiries. Come along to support all their hard work!

Tuesday 24 November, 2pm-2.30pm - Palace Stories


Hear the Palace’s history brought to life in these tales of the characters who lived here and stories inspired by our beautiful surroundings.

Mon 30 November, 2pm - A Peep Behind the Scenes: Servant Life at Fulham Palace

Households such as Fulham Palace could not run without a large staff of servants. Yet often little is known about these hard-working people. Join Curator Miranda Poliakoff as she gives an insight into their lives.
