Grow your Own: Introduction to Growing Vegetables

Interested in growing your own produce? Learn practical techniques from our experienced gardening tutors on how to grow vegetables with ease. Monthly sessions will cover everything you need to know from seed sowing in pots to preparing bed areas and harvesting.

£50 / free for Fulham Palace and Bishop’s Park volunteers

April 15, 2pm-3.30pm - The Thames Family Drop-in
Join us on the main lawn and build a boat, design a riverside building, or create some animals and birds to populate our model Thames river scene. £2 per child, no booking necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for 2+

April 16, 6.45pm - A Walk with the Head Gardener



Join the Fulham Palace Head Gardener, Lucy Hart, for an evening tour of the garden to learn about its history, ongoing projects and future plans.

April 18, 10.30am-12.15pm - Young Archaeologists’ Club
During the third Young Archaeologists' Club session, take a trip to the Thames and explore the local foreshore! Learn all about the history of the river Thames before our fieldwork excursion where you will have lots of fun murdlarking for artefacts.

April 19, 2pm-3.30pm - Museum Drop-in
Come to the Museum and try on period WWII costume, handle artefacts and learn about the history of Fulham Palace. This is a free event, no booking necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

April 21, 1pm-4pm - Drawing in the centre and landscape of Fulham Palace
Practice your drawing skills of composition and draughtsmanship during this five week course.
£92 per person.

April 27, 2pm - Tales of the Tudor Palace



Join Curator Miranda Poliakoff to discover more about the Tudor bishops who lived at Fulham Palace. Known as the King’s Bishop, their careers depended on retaining the favour of the monarch and surviving the religious conflicts of the period.

April 29, 6 and 13 May, 2pm-4.30pm - Prints at the Palace
Join artist Jo Veevers for this three day introductory course to relief printmaking.
