Sunday 4 Aug, 2.30pm - Outdoor Theatre: The Mikado
This is a fabulous comic opera by Gilbert and Sullivan, presented by popular outdoor theatre company Illyria.
In the town of Titipu flirting has been made illegal. The penalty is death. Too bad then that the main culprit is the Lord High Executioner Ko-Ko, who wishes to marry his beautiful young ward Yum-Yum, and who has no intention of executing himself. So when Nanki-Pu, a wandering minstrel, decides to end it all because his own love for Yum-Yum is doomed, Ko-Ko has the perfect candidate for execution. Except that Yum-Yum, by tradition, would have to be executed with Nanki-Pu. And Nanki-Pu turns out to be the Mikado’s own son. And the Mikado himself is about to arrive on a state visit to Titipu….

With sculptures ranging from figurative and animal subjects to dramatic abstract forms, there is something for everyone on this extensive trail through the Walled Garden, exterior courtyards and interior of Fulham Palace. All of the sculptures have been created by members of the Surrey Sculpture Society, and are available for purchase.

Thursday 29 August, 8.15pm - Summer Film Series: Annie HallFulham Palace brings the third summer film series to you in August and September. Run in partnership with The Nomad (presented by Lexi Cinema), 2013 sees four fantastic movies coming to the lawns of Fulham Palace.
The first film in the series is Annie Hall. The freewheeling script follows the reflections of nervy comedian Alvy Singer (Woody Allen) as he falls for goofy, irresistible Annie Hall (Diane Keaton), and then details the demise of their love affair as they bicker around NYC. Neurotic New York romance at its finest.
It will be followed in September by When Harry Met Sally on September 5, Four Weddings and a Funeral on September 12 and Amelie on September 19.

Try on Georgian costume, handle artefacts and learn about the history of Fulham Palace. Free, no booking needed, all ages welcome, takes place in the Fulham Palace Museum.

Led by a local artist, come along to this junk modelling workshop inspired by the Surrey Sculpture Trail and Fulham Palace gardens. Suitable for 8-12 year olds.

Historical Tours
Fulham Palace consists of a Tudor manor house with Georgian additions and Victorian chapel – tours visit all areas open to the public and explore this rich history.
Tours begin outdoors with the history of the building and the gardens (weather permitting). Once inside, the group moves through the Great Hall, Victorian Chapel, Bishop Terrick Drawing and Dining Rooms, Bishop Sherlock’s Room and concludes in the two Museum rooms where permanent displays are exhibited. You can purchase a memento of your visit at the Museum shop.
Regular tours take place on the second and fourth Sunday and third Tuesday of the summer months.

Garden Walks
The gardens of Fulham Palace have a long history and are home to an array of interesting and unusual trees. They have been famous since the days of Bishop Grindal, who sent grapes to Elizabeth I, and were largely influenced by Bishop Compton, a great collector of plants.
Learn about the trees and how they came to be here, view the new vinery and hear about the progress so far and the future plans for the historic kitchen garden.

If you are interested in the history of Bishop’s Park, join a new monthly guided walk of Bishop’s Park and Fulham Palace. This month's walk will be on Wednesday 14 August followed next month pon Saturday 7 September.
