Sean Bean to Manage Celebrities in Fulham FC's Annual Charity Match

While Sean Davis captains All Stars in Shooting Star Chase Cup

Ex-pros, sportsmen and a team of celebrities managed by actor Sean Bean will take to the field on May 23 to compete for the Shooting Star Chase Cup for the third year in a row.

Last year, the Fulham All Stars beat the Sealand All Stars team by 9 goals to 3.

However, this year will see Fulham All Stars face a new challenge, with Sean Bean taking charge of the opposing team.

Sean, who has played starring roles on TV and the big screen such as ITV’s Sharpe, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and the James Bond film Goldeneye, to name just a few, says: "I am really looking forward to being the manager of the Celebrity All Stars team on May 23rd against the Fulham All Stars at Craven Cottage.

" It will be a great day in aid of charity but my team will be doing everything to come away with a win."

The match will raise funds for both the Fulham Football Club Foundation and the Club’s 2014/15 season local charity partner, Shooting Star Chase, which supports families with a child or teenager who has a life-limiting condition.

The Fulham All Stars team, made up of ex-Fulham footballers, will be captained by former Whites midfielder Sean Davis, who remains the only player in the Club’s history to have played for Fulham in all four divisions.

Sean says: " I’m honoured to be captaining the Fulham All Stars Team as we take on the Celebrity All Stars on the 23rd May. My last competitive game at Craven Cottage was back in 2003 and I still have such great memories of playing there.

" I am looking forward to recruiting Fulham legends to form a formidable team as we take on Sean Bean’s Celebrity All Stars. Once again all proceeds will go towards Shooting Star Chase and Fulham FC Foundation, two worthy local charities so come down and show your support.

" It’s going to be a great day and I can’t wait to play and catch up with some of the Club’s former players as well as the fans."

Fulham FC says a superb mixture of ex-professionals and celebrities, confirming their participation and giving their time for free, will be announced on its website in due course.

Tickets for the event are now on sale priced at £12 adults and £5 concessions (under 16s) online or by phone on 0843 208 1234 (option 1) - 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Tickets can also be purchased in person from the Fulham Ticket Office.

Tickets can also be bought on the day, but the adult prices will then increase to £15.
