Club plans to increase capacity and add community facilities
Fulham Football Club has announced plans to expand its Craven Cottage stadium by redeveloping the Riverside Stand.
This will increase capacity at the stadium to 30,000 and says the club, will also bring other benefits for both fans and the public, including:
Improved matchday facilities for fans
New riverside walk along the Thames that is open and accessible to the public
New community facilities along the Thames
Chief Executive Alistair Mackintoch says: " We are confident that a redevelopment will improve the fans' matchday experience by enhancing the facilities, whilst remaining sympathetic to the design of this historic ground. Naturally our core family values, and the tradition of the football club, continue to be at the forefront of everything we do.
" We are still in the very early stages of the planning process and we would very much welcome your thoughts on our initial ideas."
You can see the plans at a public exhibition on Saturday October 22, from 10am till 3pm at The Cafe at the Cottage, in the Johnny Haynes Stand, Stevenage Road, where staff will be on hand to answer questions.
The club adds that over the next few weeks it will be working up the plans in more detail while listening to local residents, fans and other interested parties, and will consult on more detailed plans later in the year.
You can also read all about the plans at Fulham Forever where fans and members of the local community are asked to complete a brief initial survey.
