Beauty Clinic Applies to Take Over Site on Fulham Broadway

After long established branch of Paperchase closes next week

A beauty clinic has applied to take over the site of Paperchase in Fulham Broadway, which is closing its doors next week.

UK Skin + Laser Clinics has applied to H&F Council for a change of use of Unit 2 in the Broadway to create a retail area at the front and treatment rooms behind, connected by a corridor.

The application, which can be seen in full here proposed business will employ 12 full-time equivalent staff. Opening hours will be Monday to Thursday 10am to 8pm and Friday to Sunday 10am to 6pm.

The application, which is currently open for comments, states:

The business is a cosmetic clinic that is focussed on delivering accessible, inclusive and affordable skincare in a state of the art retail and service setting.

The business functions in two very distinct elements that make it a fundamentally product/service retail business -

1. The retail sale of two skin care ranges and one home-care dermal rolling range. This part of the business occurs in the front of the premises and attracts attention from passers-by. It is this element that makes our business truly retail.

2. Skin and laser treatments that treat a variety of skin concerns and aesthetic concerns. This occurs in treatment rooms in the rear of the tenancy.

These two functions are very separate but do naturally complement each other.

Paperchase is the latest in a long line of established Fulham businesses to close their doors this year, including Ryness in North End Road and Evans Cycles in Jerdan Place. However, some sites have seen new businesses moving in, including PureGym, which has recently opened on the site vacated last year by M&S Simply Food.
