Nine Candidates Will Stand in Chelsea and Fulham

Full list of prospective MPs announced

The final list of parliamentary candidates for the new constituency of Chelsea and Fulham has been published, revealing that a total of nine people will stand in the General Election on May 6.

The five main candidates, who have debated a range of issues from taxation to family friendly policies at two public Election Hustings Events, are the Conservative Party's Greg Hands, Dirk Hazell from the LibDems, Labour's Alex Hilton, the Green Party's Julie Stephenson and Tim Gittos of UKIP - who raised a laugh from the audience at the first event when he revealed that he lives in France, but promised to move to England if he is elected.

They will be joined by Brian McDonald of the BNP, Godfrey Spickernell, leader of the Blue Environment Party, Roland Courtenay from New Independent Conservatives and George Roseman, representing the English Democrats.

There is a third Election Hustings Event scheduled for Wednesday, April 28 at St Andrew's Church in Park Walk, Chelsea. We will bring you more details of this event when we receive them.
