Police have released a CCTV image which they hope will help to identify a suspect in an attempted robbery investigation.

Hammersmith and Fulham police are appealing for witnesses and information in connection with an attempted robbery of a 14 year old school boy in Fulham on Monday, July 19.

They said that at approximately 4pm the school boy was walking past William Hill bookmakers along Dawes Road on his way back home from school.

As he walked past the premises the suspect shouted at the victim on the corner of Estcourt Road and Dawes Road.

The suspect then confronted the victim, patted down his pockets and demanded his phone and money. The suspect was in company with another male, and they both walked off along Dawes Road.

The victim did not sustain any injuries and no items of property were stolen.

The suspect is described as a black male, possibly African, slim build, approximately 5ft 8 tall with short straight black hair. At the time he was wearing a white t-shirt and grey trousers.

The suspects's companion is described as a black male, possibly Caribbean, approximate age 18-20years, 5ft 8 tall of medium build with light facial hair, wearing a green t-shirt and shorts.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Constable Ben Richards from Hammersmith and Fulham's robbery squad on 0208 246 2679 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
