Barking for BTRC on Parsons Green this Saturday

This weekend is set to be one of the busiest of the year in Fulham, with a series of family friendly events taking place across SW6.
On Saturday 9 September, Parsons Green is hosting Barking for BTRC - a fun dog show in aid of the Brain Tumour Research Campaign.
Taking place on the green from 10.30am till 5pm it will offer lots of classes including The Waggiest Tail, Best Golden Oldie, Most Appealing Eyes, Scruffiest in Show and the afternoon will end with an award for Best in Show.
Other attractions will include My Dog’s Got Talent and Dog Agility Displays, Doggy Tombola and Stalls loaded with doggy treats and accessories.

Also on Saturday, Fulham Horticultural Society, or FHS, holds its summer show at St Etheldreda’s church hall in Fulham Palace Road.
The gardening society, this year celebrating its anniversary is celebrating local produce, with displays of local gardeners’ flowers, fruit, vegetables and herbs. Experts will also be on hand to answer gardening questions and offer horticultural advice. The show is open to all from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
An FHS member with a massive onion
On Sunday, 10 September, the action moves to Fulham Palace which is hosting Chilli Fest 2023.
In collaboration with Fulham Palace Meadows Allotments Association (FPMAA) and FHS, the Palace is promising an all-day celebration of the red hot plant.
At this popular annual event, guests will be able to wonder at prime specimens including some from the nearby allotments, taste a multitude of chilli varieties, and for those feeling brave, take part in the chilli-eating competition, before cooling down with a drink and picnic on the lawn. There will also be food from local vendors and live music.
