Big crowds at a previous Wandsworth Bridge Road Fayre
April 28, 2025
Wandsworth Bridge Road will once again be going traffic free for its fourth Spring Fayre - and organisers are promising this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.
The street will be turned over to local people in the stretch between junctions with Ryecroft Street and Townmead Road and lined with 165 market stalls selling street food and drinks, jewellery, clothes, arts and crafts and more. Stallholders will include local organisations, Wandsworth Bridge Road’s favourite independent stores, designers and creators.
There will be two stages and two busking pods offering a wide range of music throughout the day, including soul, jazz, blues, folk and indiepop, plus tunes from Fulham Brass Band ensuring the fayre gets off to a roaring start at 11am.
There will also be a maypole, skate park, cycling zone, a programme of children’s activities and a fun dog show run by the road’s Wolfe Vets, with categories including Best Dapper Dog and Best Leading Lady.
The fayre, now in its fourth year, will run from 11am till 5pm on Sunday 11 May, and is expected to attract thousands of visitors.
Wandsworth Bridge Road Association, which runs the fayre each year, is still looking for volunteers to help out in the run up to the event and on the day itself, including setting up in the morning and tidying up the road at the end of the day.
