Autumn Music Festival at St John's Church


Weekend of concerts for adults and children

st John's Church on Walham Green is holding an Autumn Music Festival from  October 15 to Sunday October 17.

Here is the schedule:

Friday October 15, 7.30pm

Wagner's Parsifal - Act II - Fully Staged (semi-official website)

Nina Lorcini - Kundry

Jon Morrell - Parsifal

Robert Presley - Klingsor

Ben Woodward - piano. Directed by Fiona Williams

Saturday October 16, 3pm

Children's event to include performance of Saint-Saëns "Carnival of the Animals" performed by piano-4-hands duo of Ben Woodward and Jenny Doyne

October 16, 7.30pm

The Tamesis Quartet play Haydn, Beethoven and a new work - Urban Mythology - by London composer Benjamin Ellin

Sunday October 17, 10am - Morning Mass with orchestra

St John's Professional Schola sing Haydn's "Little Organ Mass" with organ and orchestra as part of regular morning worship.


Oct 17, 6pm - Evensong

A celebration of the works of Henry Purcell

St John's (expanded) professional schola sing evensong including:

Hear My Prayer

Service in G Minor

I was Glad
