St Andrew's Church Hosts Be Well Talk on Tuesday

Enjoy a talk and cooking demonstration by nutritionist Sarah Green

St Andrew's Church on Greyhound Road/Star Road in W14 is hosting the next Be Well talk on Tuesday 19 June from 10.30am – 12pm, followed by a tasty free lunch.

There will be a health talk and cooking demonstration on the power food has to influence all aspects of our health. What you eat can help energise, heal, repair and uplift us.

A healthy gut helps us maintain a healthy body. With about 80% of our immune system residing in the gut what you eat has a huge impact on your health.

It’s no surprise to most of us that people who eat more vegetables tend to be healthier. So, having more ideas on how to cook tasty and healthy food gives us the power to improve our own health.

The cooking demonstration is given by Sarah Green, a local West Kensington resident, mother of four and Vice Chair of BANT (British Association of Advanced Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy) and a Licensed Functional Medicine Practitioner.

Nutritionist Sarah Green

As Sarah talks, she prepares dishes, hands round samples for the audience to taste, and gives out recipe handouts for them to try at home. Thanks to a local sponsor and support of Hammersmith & Fulham Council everyone is invited to stay on afterwards for a nutritious lunch free of charge.

On Tuesday Sarah will be joined by Hammersmith & Fulham Cllr Ben Coleman Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care.

Everyone is welcome to the talk and there’s no need to book - just drop in.
